We're hiring a Hardware Engineer at Futurewave

We’ve collaborated with over 50 companies—from Decathlon and Renault to Cowboy and Nokia—and have launched award-winning products across Europe and Asia.

We're now looking to reinforce our AI & Technology team with a skilled Hardware Engineer to help us bring high-quality physical products to life, from concept to certified prototype.

What you'll do

Collaborate with designers and engineers to define product interactions and translate them into functional electronics

  • Design and architect hardware systems, select components, and validate the full electronic stack
  • Develop schematic diagrams and multilayer PCB layouts in Altium Designer
  • Write and test low-level firmware and drivers in C/C++ to bring up new boards
  • Debug and iterate on physical prototypes, performing validation and optimization
  • Support EMC/RED certification processes in collaboration with external labs
  • Document designs, iterate with the team, and contribute to hardware review processes
What we're looking for
  • 2+ years of professional experience in electronic product development
  • Proven experience in PCB design, including schematics and layout for multi-layer boards
  • Familiarity with embedded C/C++ development and hardware bring-up
  • Knowledge of wireless communication protocols such as BLE, LoRa, Zigbee, or Cellular
  • Solid understanding of object-oriented programming principles
  • Experience applying EMC/RED guidelines and participating in certification workflows
  • Proficiency in Altium Designer is a strong plus
  • Basic knowledge of Python scripting, Git, and modern dev environments (e.g., Docker, Jenkins) is a bonus
  • Fluency in English is required; French or Dutch is a plus
Your profile

Master’s degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience

  • A passion for building beautiful, functional, and reliable technological products
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail
  • Team-oriented mindset with the ability to work across disciplines
  • Comfortable taking ownership of tasks and delivering results quickly
